Ginebra romps Blackwater for first win

BINAN--Ginebra leaned on a dominating second quarter to blast Blackwater, 105-91, in the main game of the PBA Commissioner's Cup twinbill at the Alonte Sports Arena on Friday night.

After having to go toe-to-toe against the Elite in the first half, the Barangay went on a 32-14 second quarter to turn the game to a rout as they finally scored their first win in the mid-season conference.

Kevin Ferrer erupted for 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting with five rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block for Ginebra.

Charles Garcia added 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting with eight rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and two steals.

Greg Slaughter made his return and made 12 markers on 6-of-8 shooting with six rebounds, two assists, and one steal.

Jarrid Famous made 25 markers, 17 caroms, two assists, one block, and one steal for Blackwater, which further slipped to 0-5.

Paul Zamar finally made his arrival to the PBA and made 15 markers on 4-of-5 shooting from deep, six rebounds, and one assist.
