MANILA--GlobalPort quickly gave NLEX a reality check after its first win in the PBA Commissioner's Cup with a 116-94 rout at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Wednesday night.
The Batang Pier gradually pulled away from the Road Warriors and eventually posted their largest lead at 22 points right before the final buzzer.
Sean Anthony led GlobalPort, which moved up to 3-2, with 21 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and one steal.
Malcolm White, playing through back spasm, added 20 markers, 14 rebounds, four dimes, and four steals.
Kiefer Ravena made 24 markers, five boards, three assists, and two steals for NLEX in a game where Arnett Moultrie was held to only 19 points.
