PASAY--Alejandro and Javier Huerta headlined the four teams that will enter the main draw of the men's division of the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour after the qualifiers on Thursday at the Sands SM by the Bay.

The brothers from Spain defeated Moritz Kindl and Marian Klaffinger of Austria, 21-18, 21-16, in the second round of the qualifiers early in the night.

The straight-set win by the Huerta Brothers spoiled what would have been a 3-0 sweep by Austria in the qualifying rounds.

Felix Friedl and Maximillan Trummer, who got a bye in the first round, rallied from a Set 1 defeat to beat Cameron Wheelan and Felipe Paredes of Canada, 19-21, 22-20, 15-12, to book a seat in the tournament proper which will start on Friday.

The other surviving Austrian duo, Simon Fruhbauer and Jorg Wutzl, also needed three sets to oust Petr Bakhnar and Taras Myskiv of Russia, 17-21, 21-18, 15-13.

The other qualifying team is from Germany as Max-Jonas Karpa and Milan Sievers upended Leo Williams and Mthokozisi Mdingi of South Africa, 25-23, 25-23, in their own second round duel.
