BATANGAS CITY--After nine years, James Yap is the king of the downtown again.

The Rain Or Shine sniper reclaimed the PBA All-Star 3-Point Shootout title with a solid stint in both rounds at the Batangas City Sports Center on Friday night.

The 36-year-old Yap put up 24 points in the first round and another 24 in the finals, edging GlobalPort's Stanley Pringle and TNT's Terrence Romeo in the last phase.

Romeo, who went for 24 points by himself in a special shootout on Wednesday night in Digos, was on trace of repeating the peat with a 23 in the first round, but he could only put up 16 in the championship round.

Pringle, on the other hand, got a 21 in the final round after a 22 in the preliminaries for second place.
