BINAN--Kaya Iloilo vented ire on JPV Marikina with a 4-1 rout in the lone PFL offering on Saturday night at the Binan Fotball Stadium.
Four days after the announcement of the postponement of his club's supposed first home match at the Iloilo Sports Complex, Jordan Mintah waxed hot for Iloilo on the road as he helped deal Marikina, the designated home squad, its biggest defeat of the season yet.
Iloilo drew first blood in the 28th minute as Mintah began his hat trick bid.
Things then became tense just before halftime when Mintah got a chip pass from Masa Omura and scored the pointblank goal while Tsubasa Suzuki was being treated for his injury.
Coach Dan Padernal insisted that it should be a fair play moment, but referee Clifford Daypuyat ruled otherwise.
Mintah added one more in the 57th minute, finding himself on a one-on-one with Felipe Tripulca and forcing him to chase for the ball before crossing over him and smoothly kicking the ball to the now wide open goalmouth.
Marikina got on the board in the 63rd minute when J Baguioro put in a close range shot.
But Alfred Osei put the nail in the coffin for Iloilo with an 80th minute goal.
