QUEZON CITY--There is indeed nowhere to go but up for UP.

The Fighting Maroons, through the Nowhere To Go But UP Foundation, got a new partner in 3M.

The said foundation and the multinational company formalized their alliance through a signing of a memorandum of understanding at the Quezon Hall of the said university's campus here on Tuesday.

The entire men's basketball team led by Head Coach Bo Perasol, stars Juan Gomez De Liano and Bright Akhuetie, and incoming transferees Ricci Rivero and JBoy Gob was in attendance to witness the signing.

"We are excited and energized to be supporting and be part of something big like university basketball," said 3M Philippines president Ariel Lacsamana. "We believe that the UP men's basketball team is talent worth investing in."

"3M Philippines' signing with the UP Fighting Maroons men's basketball team means a lot not only to the team but to the whole community," added UP president Danilo Concepcion. "With the UP men's basketball team's current advocacy of rebuilding the team to its old glory days and 3M's culture of innovation, the pairing seems to be a perfect match."
