MANILA -- The wrath of mother nature has forced the PFL to abandon the JPV Marikina-Davao Aguilas tiff today, with the visitors got a huge bounce-back win in Laguna.

Melchor Anzures got his first win of the season, with the Aguilas leading 3-0 when rains brought by Tropical Storm Domeng forced match commissioner Ebong Joson to halt proceedings.

The sign of the postponement was imminent right before kick-off, when a waterlogged pitch in Biñan delayed the opening whistle by 15 minutes.

Phil Younghusband made Tsubasa Suzuki pay in the 32nd minute, after the Azkals skipper tucked in the spot kick when the Japanese centre-half was called for the handball.

At the restart, James Younghusband and Dennis Villanueva fired two quick goals in the 47th and the 49th minute respectively for the current scoreline, but intense rains caused the artificial grass unplayable.

With the electrical system not put in place in the stadium, there was no need for the officials to issue a 30 minute suspension when the abandonment of match was made.
