STA. CRUZ, Laguna--Eight young footballers will represent the Philippines in this year's Allianz Junior Football Camp in Bangkok.

This time, however, five girls will join three boys as they were chosen at the end of the Allianz National Youth Futsal Invitational at the Laguna Sports Complex on Sunday.

Juan Miguel Basmayor and Melona Rafil, who led Global Cebu and Calvary Pontevedra to the U16 titles in the said tournament, headline the cast.

Joining them are John Mar Barsanilla, CJ Songalia, Catherine Bradborn, Miyuki Tsukamoto, Justine Mamon, and Ivy Paster.

The eight teenagers will fly next month to the Thai capital for the AJFC.

Three Filipinos will then be chosen to be part of the global camp that will take place in Munich, right at the home of reigning Bundesliga champ Bayern Munich.
