BOCAUE--Gilas Pilipinas ended its campaign in the FIBA 3x3 World Cup on a high note after blasting Russia, 19-12, at the Philippine Arena on Monday night.

A little more than an hour after losing a chance to make the quarterfinals following a loss to Canada, Gilas vented ire on Russia, quickly opening a 14-3 lead and never looking back.

Gilas, which already reached 19 points with about two minutes left, actually decided for the 21-point kill, but the team failed to convert the two-balls down the stretch.

Gilas exited the competition in third place in Pool C at 2-2, while Russia settled for fourth place with a 1-3 record.
