BINAN--Stallion Laguna bounced back from a bad beat with a 4-0 blanking of struggling Global Cebu in the first of three Philippines Football League games being played on Wednesday at the Binan Football Stadium.
The home side showed grit four days after getting mauled against Davao in Manila.
Abou Sy opened the scoring with a 21st minute goal before Carlo Polli added another in the 28th minute.
Fitch Arboleda sealed Laguna's win with a 57th minute attack on a 3-on-2 break.
Cebu's woes continued in the 85th minute when Angelo Marasigan was sent off.
Polli then put the exclamation point at stoppage time with a pointblank goal.
Laguna is back within two points of Davao for third place in the league table and will likely stay as is pending Davao's virtual home game against Iloilo.
As of posting, the said match in Manila was stopped due to the heavy rainshowers in Metro Manila.
