QUEZON CITY—Magnolia will make another import change. This time, it was a familiar face.

The Hotshots will try to rekindle its playoff hopes by tapping the services of former Best Import awardee Wayne Chism in its final assignment in the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup.

A former Tennessee Vol, the 6-foot-9 Chism made his first stint in the country for Rain Or Shine in 2014, guiding the Elasto Painters to the Commissioner’s Cup finals in 2015 before eventually losing to Talk 'n Text. He returned for a third time the following season, but a hamstring injury cut short his stint.

NLEX then got him in the 2017 Commissioner’s Cup, but failed to tow the team to the playoffs with a 2-9 record.  He last played for Al Manama in Bahrain.

At 4-5, the Hotshots have lost four of its last five games, the last one a 84-104 whipping by Barangay Ginebra in the Manila Clasico last June 17.

Chism will be reunited with former ROS teammate Paul Lee. His first game will be against NLEX, his former team, on July 4 at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay.
