BIÑAN -- JPV Marikina and Ceres Negros settled for a 1-1 draw in their PFL match at the Binan Football Stadium on Saturday night
Forward Ryuki Kozawa shoved Marikina ahead in the 57th minute when he scored on a follow-up, while Felipe Tripulca looked to have kept Negros at bay with his good saves.
Patrick Reichelt, however, sneaked one past Tripulca through a header in the 70th minute for the equalizer.
Negros actually had chances to steal the win, but Tripulca held his ground down the stretch.
Marikina moved up to fourth place in the league table with 10 points.
Negros, on the other hand, stays on top of the standings with 25 points despite dropping points for just the second time this year.
Iloilo's 2-1 win against Davao, however, narrowed the gap between the two Western Visayan clubs to just three points in the race for first place.
