SKT extends skid to seven, drops 0-4 in '18 LCK Summer Week 1

MANILA -- And the misery continues for the former World champions.

Three-time World champions SK Telecom T1 (SKT) hadn't found a medicine to cure their Spring Season wounds as their losing streak extended to seven games, dropping all of their four games at the commencement of their 2018 LCK Spring Split - Week 1 campaign at the Seoul OGN e-Stadium in Seoul, South Korea, yesterday evening (Philippine time).

Despite adding new talents into their roster, SKT, who won once but lost three straight games to archrivals KT Rolster (KT) in the 2018 LCK Spring Playoffs - Round 2, SKT haven't found a solution to this problem up to now as their main carries underperformed, resulting to their sweep against Afreeca Freecs (AFs) and Gen.G eSports (GEN), 0-2, 0-2, respectively, which expanded their slid to seven games in a row.

Superstar mid laner Lee (Faker) Sang-hyeok and AD Carry Bae (Bang) Jun-sik was evident of this as they both submitted a sub-1 Kill-Death-Assist (KDA) Ratio in the whole affair, an unusual feat for the veteran duo.

Rookie jungler Park (Blossom) Beom-chan also didn't appear to be the cure to the team's injuries as he only recorded a 0.71 KDA Ratio, including an infamous 3/5/1 KDA on the resurging Master Yi against GEN. Fellow rookie Park (Thal) Kwon-hyuk and veteran jungler Kang (Blank) Sun-gu also shown inconsistency as they both amassed a combined 1.75/4.25/3 average KDA (1.11 KDA Ratio).

Meanwhile, GEN and LCK newcomers Griffin (GRF) surprisingly rocketed the standings, placing at tied first (4-1, 2-0 in set), which was followed by AFs and KT at tied third (2-0, 1-0 in set), Hanwha Life eSports (HLE) at fifth (3-2, 1-1 in set), and Kingzone DragonX (KZ) and MVP placing tied sixth (1-1 in set).

SKT, on the other hand, joins Jin Air Green Wings (JAG) (1-4, 0-2 in set), and Bbq Olivers (BBQ) (0-4, 0-2 in set) at the bottom of the rack.

With this, SKT will try to bounce back on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday as they will face MVP, GRF, and JAG, respectively.
