BOCAUE--Dimeo Van Der Horst helped the Netherlands finish off Canada as the European side scored a close 18-16 win in the last men's quarterfinal of the FIBA 3x3 World Cup at the Philippine Arena on Tuesday.
Van Der Horst scored the go-ahead layup with 30 seconds left to break a 16-all tie, while his fellow Dutchmen held off the Canadians down the stretch.
The Netherlands will battle Slovenia, which defeated Ukraine, 21-15, in another quarterfinal, in the semifinals later Tuesday.
