Paco, Manila - EAC-ICA Brigadiers finally barged into the winners' bracket as they survived a major Perpetual Help Junior Altas scare, 83-78 at the EAC Sports and Cultural Center, Thursday afternoon.

Cjay Boado played hero this time for the win, muscling out 23 markers (16 in the first half), 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals, leveling their record to 1-1.

Fearing of another endgame collapse, the Brigadiers hung tough as Kian Sanosa flicked the marginal charities to put the game out of reach.

Bhen Lozano's left wing trifecta at crunch time sent the crowd in eruption. He finished with 11 markers, 7 boards, 3 dimes and 2 swipes.

The Brigadiers zoomed right out of the gates and opened an early 8 point cushion before the Junior Altas  tied the knot at 41 apiece in half time.

Perpetual Help caught fire and mounted multiple six-point gaps before resting on a 61-59 squeaker after three quarters.

Mark Gallano towed the Junior Altas with a monstrous 20-point, 24-carom show in their first setback after winning their first two outings.
