After four years and three trophies, Patrick Deyto had to let go of Global Cebu. file |
Patrick Deyto will be taking his talents elsewhere for the rest of the PFL season after leaving Global Cebu on Thursday.
In another tragic chapter of the historic club, the Azkals' shot-stopper announced his departure from the club after four years in which he won three titles, including a double in the old UFL two years ago.
Apart from the silverware, Deyto was integral part of the country's respective debuts in both the AFC Cup and the AFC Champions League.
And with his exit, various sources close to Dugout Philippines say that there Deyto will be going down further south, with Davao Aguilas won the tug of war to get his signature, staving off interests from Stallion Laguna.
After being foiled by Laguna on Paolo Bugas, Jeff Cheng got another player from the league's wooden spoon yet again, taking their second prized catch after securing centre-half Wesley Dos Santos earlier in the season.
And the clean-up is not yet finished, as Davao had reportedly also getting Marco Casambre to reunite with his former teammates from the Queen City.
