MANILA--Junemar Fajardo is making a late challenge to Vic Manuel for the Best Player of the Conference for the PBA Commissioner's Cup.

A proof of that is his Player of the Week award that was announced on Tuesday by the PBA Press Corps.

Fajardo posted consistent numbers in the three games he played last week.

Fajardo made 27 points on 10-of-16 shooting and 13 rebounds to lead San Miguel to a 121-110 comeback win against TNT in Game 1 of their quarterfinal series.

He then showed his other facets, dishing three assists and making four steals as the Beermen eventually swept the KaTropa.

Then in Game 1 of SMB's semis series against Alaska, he had 17 markers, nine boards, and two steals.

Following their comeback win against the Aces in Game 2 of their semifinal duel on Monday night, the Beermen can sweep the Aces in Game 3 of their best-of-five series on Wednesday night.
