MANILA--All of a sudden, Junemar Fajardo is on top of the Best Player of the Conference ladder.
Following an impressive quarterfinal stint, the San Miguel center has now overtaken Alaska forward Vic Manuel in the BPC race for the PBA Commissioner's Cup.
Fajardo collected 38.77 statistical points after the quarterfinals, enough to go past Manuel, who had 37.58.
GlobalPort's Stanley Pringle is in third with 36.08 SP's, while teammate Sean Anthony is fourth with 33.62. Meralco's Chris Newsome rounded up the Top 5 with 31.31 SP's.
If the result holds through and the votes go to his favor, Fajardo, who won the BPC award in the previous conference, is set to win his seventh BPC plum in his career, making him a cinch to win an unprecedented fifth MVP title.
