Over 200 dancers compete in dancesport midyear meet

MANILA--More than 200 participants are set to compete all over the country in the DanceSport Council of the Philippines (DSCPI) 2018 Midyear Ranking and Competition at the Ballroom Hall of Valle Verde Country Club, Pasig City on Saturday.

First quarter champions Sean Mischa Aranar and Ana Leonila Nualla (Grade A Standard), Michael Angelo Marquez and Stephanie Sabalo (Grade A Latin) will be defending their respective titles in the quarterly dance competition organized by DSCPI President Becky Garcia.

Other participants are the pair of Mark Jayson Gayon and Mary Joy Renigen, Michel Flores and Ariane Rose Madrid and the tandem of Darren De Guzman and Danica De Guzman.

The competition is supported by the Philippine Sports Commission, Philippine Olympic Committee, Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation, Flawless, Like-FM 105.9, Studio AK and The Greenery Bulacan.

World DanceSport Federation licensed adjudicators Katarina Baluchova of Slovakia, Peter Chen of Chinese-Taipei, Simon Mok Chi Keung of Hong Kong, Hyun Ok Oh of Korea, Chu Tan Duc of Vietnam, Glen Tierney of Australia, Liwei Xu of China and George Tan of Malaysia will be there in there in the competition.

Tickets for the 2018 DSCPI Midyear Ranking are available at the DanceSport Training Center, Philsports Complex, Meralco Avenue, Pasig City and at the entrance of the Ballroom of Valle Verde Country Club on July 28. For other inquiries, please call Anna or Lorien at 637-2314.
