SAN JUAN -- San Beda displayed their composure that made them back-to-back champions of the NCAA when it mattered the most, as they blasted St. Benilde in a  triumph tonight in the final game of the Tuesday tripleheader tonight at the FilOil-Flying V Centre.

The Red Lions had to overcome various deficits in the first three periods to unleash a furious fourth quarter rally to remain unbeaten with a 2-0 card, after bad weather caused by tropical storms delayed their return for more than two weeks.

Skipper Robert Bolick roared in the final frame to lead the champions with 25 points, including 19 in the second half to lead all scorers.

Benilde were on a roll in the first half, leading by as much as twelve before heading into the locker rooms with a five point lead, with Clement Leutcheu poured half of his team-high 22 points in the first 20 minutes.

However, San Beda slowly crawled their way back into the game, winning the third period by just three points to pull within a pair, in which they saved their best for the last quarter.

It took them a crippling 15-0 start for San Beda to wrest away the lead for good in the final frame, thanks to Bolick who had a dozen points in the final ten minutes as the Red Lions fended off one final challenge by the Blazers.
