MANILA--For the second straight Tuesday, mother nature intervened once again in the NCAA.
Bad weather caused by another incoming storm forced the league to postpone its games today in both the juniors and the seniors division of its centerpiece basketball tournament at the FilOil-FlyingV Centre in San Juan.
After super typhoon Gardo forced the first reschedule of games last week, it was tropical depression Henry that wreaked havoc in the metro, and the officials have no recourse but to halt the proceedings.
The announcement was made by NCAA ManCom head Frank Gusi during the juniors game in which Perpetual led Arellano 21-19 before it was stopped, and it will be replayed from the very start.
That means, the subsequent games, including the seniors counterparts of Perps and Arellano that was part of a triple-header alongside Letran-Mapua and San Beda-JRU will be moved to one of its reserved dates in the final week of August.
It was the second time that Arellano had its season debut thwarted by nature's call, but they hope that they are finally playing their first game by Thursday when they host EAC in the second installment of the NCAA On Tour.
