SAN JUAN -- College of St. Benilde recovered from their slow start in the first quarter to subdue EAC, 84-71 in the first of the Tuesday tripleheaders this afternoon at the FilOil-Flying V Centre.

The Blazers took over from the second period onwards to get back on track after losing to Lyceum last week, and they even have to play a man down after Clement Leutcheu was ejected late in the game.

JJ Domingo came off the bench to step up for the now 3-4 Blazers with 22 points while shooting 62.5% from the field the entire game.

Leutcheu had 9 points and four boards before being tossed for incurring his second technical foul with 5:38 left in the game.

His ejection would not just forced him to miss Friday's match-up with Arellano, but also cost him his chances in the MVP race.

Benilde won despite giving up 29 more rebounds to to the Generals, but TY Tang's men had 14 turnovers less than their victims.

Juju Bautista had a double-double of 17 points and 12 boards but EAC had their win streak snapped at two for their fifth loss of the first round.
