Caluag settles for bronze as Japanese biker becomes new Asiad BMX champ

MANILA -- Japanese Yoshitaku Nagasako is the new cycling BMX champion of the Asian Games, while 2014 gold medalist Danny Caluag settled for the bronze medal to register the eighth medal for the Nationals at Pulo Mas International BMX Center in Jakarta, Saturday.

Caluag finished with the official time of 35.842 seconds, behind Nagasako, who won the event with the time of 33.669 seconds, and Indonesia's silver medalist Gusti Saputra who had an official time of 34.314.

In the 2014 Incheon games, Caluag reigned at the competition to take the lone gold medal of the Philippines in their stint that time.
