MANILA — Taiwan's Flash Wolves, Korea's KT Rolster, and SEA's Ascension Gaming sealed their duel with the world's best teams as they secured their slots to the 2018 League of Legends World Championship in their respective regions.

FW, who finished in 3rd/4th place in the 2018 Mid Season Invitational, repeated their regional triumph after concluding the LMS Summer Split - Regular Season in a whopping 14-0 set card (28 W - 3 L), only dropping three losses to J Team, Machi eSports, and Team Afro, which marked their fourth consecutive World Championship attendance in their fifth year as an organization.

KT, on the other hand, who failed to qualify to the 2017 version of the said tournament, made its vengeance a huge success after placing first in the LCK Champions Korea Summer Split - Regular Season through its 13-5 set card (29 W - 14 L), which automatically secured their seat in the Finals, and locked in their second World Championship attendance even if a loss will occur in their duel against Griffin on September 8.

Furthermore, ASC, who reigned supreme in the GPL Spring Split, duplicated their international success in the recently-concluded Globe Conquerors Manila, outlasting fellow Thai squad MEGA Esports via sweep in their best-of-5 Finals brawl, thus locking in the lone SEA ticket going to South Korea.

With their domination, KT and FW are assured of a Group Stage seed due to their region's placement in the past World Championships. ASC, meanwhile only secured a Play-In seed, meaning that they need to win in the Play-In playoffs before qualifying to the Group Stage.

The Play-In Stages will be held at the LoL PARK in Seoul, while the Group Stages/Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and the Finals will be held outside of Korea's capital as Busan Exhibition and Convention Center in Busan, Gwangju Women's University Universiade Gymnasium in Gwangju, and the Munhak Stadium in Incheon will host the respective events.
