QUEZON CITY--So far in the Asian Games, females have barged into the Top 2 in the podium for the Philippines.
On Friday, a male has broke into the Top 2.
Rogen Ladon assured himself of at least a silver after beating Yuttapong Tongdee of Thailand in the flyweight boxing semifinals in Jakarta.
Ladon's brilliance earned him a unanimous decision win as he is just one win away from giving the Philippines a gold.
After a tight first round, Ladon poured it on in Round 2, continually connecting on huge shots to Tongdee's head.
Tongdee tried to go aggressive in the final round, even opening a cut on Ladon's right eye, but Ladon still prevailed with his accuracy.
