MANILA--Mandaluyong banked on another solid game from Ray-Ray Parks to maul Bacoor City, 83-61, in the main game of the MPBL Datu Cup doubleheader at the Strike Gymnasium in Bacoor on Thursday night.

Parks had an all-around performance of 28 points, six rebounds, eight assists, and two steals for the El Tigre, who slowly pulled away from the Strikers after a close first quarter.

Jojo Cunanan added 11 markers, three rebounds, and two dimes for Mandaluyong, which joined San Juan, Bataan, and Manila in a logjam at the top spot in the Northern Division at 5-1.

Mark Montuano made 21 points, 13 rebounds, one assist, and one block to lead the charge for Bacoor, whose main man Gab Banal came in late following his PBA D-League Foundation Cup championship game earlier Thursday.

Banal, who erupted for 31 points for Go for Gold in its title-clinching win against Che'Lu, could only make 10 points, missing all of his four three-point attempts, but he still put up a good all-around game with six rebounds, six assists, two steals, and one block in nearly 27 minutes off the bench.
