MANILA--Manila went ablaze in the middle two periods to blast Pasay, 115-85, in the MPBL Datu Cup at the San Andres Sports Complex here on Wednesday night.
The Stars took advantage of the Voyagers' foul troubles and even the ejection of Coach Cholo Martin in the second quarter and outscored them, 33-14, to open a 53-33 halftime lead.
Manila then dropped 36 points in the third quarter that help stretch its already huge lead and never looked back.
Reil Cervantes went 6-of-7 from downtown and finished with 22 points with one rebound, two assists, and one steal for the Stars, who have now won six straight games and took the top spot in the Northtern Division standings at 6-1.
Andrian Celada came off the bench and added 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting with one rebound.
Jaypee Belencion, Ralph Salcedo, and Shaq Alanes each chipped in 11 markers to lead the Voyagers, who slipped to 2-5.
