MANILA--Stallion Laguna will field in a team in the upcoming season of the WFL Elite League, but Head Coach Ernie Nierras will use the tournament to gauge the players that he will elevate to his PFL team for next season.

In fact, he gave a hint on some of the players that Laguna's Team B will have.

"He's another speedster," the Team A gaffer said about the first player, a resident of Iloilo who graduated from St. La Salle in Bacolod.

He also said that the club is "developing" a goalkeeper, and he will be part of Laguna's second squad as well.

"He's a young keeper from CPU," Nierras said of the new keeper, who will be of great use in the future especially in the case that Laguna A's primary keepers Bitoy Rosalia and Hayeson Pepito get injured again. Nierras acquired the services of Marikina's former second-string netminder Felipe Tripulca due to their respective injury bugs.

Following an updated schedule obtained by Dugout Philippines on Thursday, Laguna B will open its campaign at home right at noontime of Saturday, taking on Navy.
