QUEZON CITY--Phoenix quickly waxed hot and crippled TNT, 112-82, in their PBA Governors' Cup battle at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Friday night.

The Fuel Masters quickly opened a huge lead by the first half as they bounced back from a tough loss against the Alaska Aces two nights back.

Jason Perkins led Phoenix with 22 points on 10-of-12 shooting, five rebounds, and one assist.

Matt Wright added 16 points, five rebounds, six assists, and one steal.

Eugene Phelps only played for 30 minutes due to the already insurmountable lead but still had 15 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists.

Calvin Abueva struggled in his first start with Phoenix, only making 12 points, but he made up for that with 13 rebounds, four assists, and three blocks.

Alfrancis Tamsi top scored for TNT, which played without gunner Terrence Romeo, with 14 points, most coming late in the game when it was all but settled, one rebound, and two assists.

Stacy Davis only made 4-of-18 from the field for 13 points, although he added 11 rebounds and one assist.
