UP, Muntinlupa engage in tune-up brawl

BINAN--The UAAP is just around the corner, but drama already ensued in a preseason match-up that involved UP.

The Fighting Maroons and MPBL side Muntinlupa Cagers got into a heated scuffle in their tune-up game on Saturday night.

In a video that was posted on Youtube, Bright Akhuetie was seen throwing a punch at Dhon Reverente before the latter's Muntinlupa teammates tried to get back at the former.
In a longer version of the play in question, which was posted on Facebook, Akhuetie took what seemed like a hit from Reverente when the former was going for a screen, prompting Akhuetie to retaliate at Reverente.
The rest of the players for both squads struggled but eventually prevailed in pacifying matters. Both sides decided to call off the match.
