CARMONA -- UST and FEU post contrasting wins last Sunday, August 26 to cap off th opening weekend of the PFF Women's League in San Lazaro.

The two UAAP sides join OutKast and champions La Salle to the quartet of season openinng winners, after getting past Green Archers United and UP in diferent fashion.

Sheila Cadag fired a hat-trick to propel the Tigresses of Aging Rubio to a 7-1 rout of a loaded GAU side that featured Inna Palacios, Nicole Andaya and Angge Metillo who are part of the unbeaten side last year in both the W-League and UAAP Season 79.

Cadag scored her first just four minutes into the opening whistle, in which Lalaine Durano doubled UST's advantage a minute later to practically get their first win in a growling fashion.

The Tigresses went 3-0 up at the break courtesy of Cadag's 42nd minute strike but she completed the hat-trick at the hour mark to open the flood gates.

Not to be outdone, Mika Punzalan found the net ten minutes later beforeAndaya tucked in the consolation strike in the 81st minute.

However, UST had the final say with Charisa Lemoran (84') and Nathali Absalon (86') added two more for the final count.

Meanwhile, FEU came from a goal down to subdue UP in the Diliman Derby,  where the Lady Maroons hit the front on a twelfth-minute effort by Mary Rose Obra.

It took a second half rally by Let Dimzon's Lady Tamaraws to get the three points, which was made possible by their new recruits.

Carmela Altiche equalized for FEU in the 58th minute and fellow rookie Elna Bongol hit the winner in the final minute of normal time.
