PASIG -- The second season of the PFF Women's League is set to blow it's opening whistle on Saturday in Carmona, with reigning champions La Salle faces new challenges to continue their unbeaten reign as queens of the pitch.

Hans-Peter Smit's Lady Archers are set to battle with nine other sides, among them their regular opponents in the UAAP to go along with Hiraya, Outkast and Greeen Archers United as the holdovers from the inaugural staging last season.

And the back-to-back UAAP champs are set to open their title defence against newcomers Tuloy sa Don Bosco in the National Training Centre pitch in the first match of the new season at 8AM.

Capping off opening day doubleheader is another newcomer in  La Salle Zobel, wherein they take on Outkast at 10AM.

The season will run for just four months, as it only has a single round-robin format for the league to give the Malditas ample time to prepare for their Olympic qualifying debut.
