MANILA--The Zamboanga Valientes headed by former PBA player Reed Juntilla will shoot for a fourth game winning streak as they battle the Rizal Cruzaders on Tuesday in the 2018 Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) Anta Datu Cup at the Pasig Sports Center.

Juntilla, the flamboyant guard from the Visayas, is coming from a spectacular performance in an 89-78 win over the Navotas Clutch last Aug. 9 at Ateneo De Manila's Blue Eagle Gym in Katipunan, where he tallied 29 points, 11 rebounds and four assists.

Now with a 4-2 win-loss record, the Family's Brand Sardines-backed Valientes are hoping for another victory that will push their playoff bid deeper in the conference participated by 26 teams nationwide.

Zamboanga, under the tutelage of coach Ednie Morones, is composed also of Rob Sanz, Von Lanete, Rino Berame, Jonathan Pareno, Jomarie Lacastesantos, Grevani Rublico, Peter De Ocampo, Noy Javier, Leo Avenido, Das Esa, Rolando Navarro, Rudy Unde, Lloyd Castor and Arden Guiyab aside from Juntilla.

“Ang Family's Brand Sardines-Zamboanga Valientes ay inaabangan ng mga Zamboanguenos. Isa sa pinakamalaking barangay sa Zamboanga City, nag-tipon-tipon para sa laro ng Family's Brand Sardines-Zamboanga Valientes. Sobrang saya ng mga Zamboanguenos tuwing pumapasok ang mga 3-points ng Valientes,” said team manager Alvin Munio.

Munio also said that Zamboanguenos are supporting PBA players from their hometown like Mike Tolomia, Mark Barroca and RR Garcia.
