Soaring Falcons stay undefeated amidst head-to-head battle with Fighting Maroons

By Yann Magcamit

SAN JUAN, MM – The Adamson Soaring Falcons refused to let the UP Fighting Maroons stain their currently undefeated record as they took home the Wednesday night win, 69-68.

With just a point difference, the Fighting Maroons’ tenacious attempts to hold down the Falcons went down the drain on the last few seconds of the game.
Sean Manganti secured the game for the Falcons with his winning shot with 0.7 second left before the buzzer sounded that gave them their fourth straight win.

Manganti actually top scored for the Falcons with 18 points, bouncing back from his zero-point performance in their last game.

Jerrick Ahanmisi and Papi Sarr, as expected, also delivered with 15 and 11 points, respectively, for the Falcons.
The Fighting Maroons, however, proved to be a tough competitor for the undefeated team, almost swiping what could be a first-round sweep for the Falcons with Juan Gomez de Liano and Bright Akhuetie’s scoring.
