SAN JUAN, MM
-- The Adamson Soaring Falcons maintained their winning slate after their fifth
win, a 63-58 squeaker over the NU Bulldogs at the FilOil Flying V Centre on
Saturday.
The hero of
their last game against UP, Sean Manganti scored 14 points, 4 assist, 3
rebounds and 2 steals, Papi Sarr and Jerrick Ahamnisi contributed with 22
points respectively.
Before the
Falcons taste their another victory, Jed Colonia got injured on the middle of
the period and the Bulldogs took advantage of it getting 39-43 to open the
final frame.
"We're
just lucky that we survived that ambush. We made a lot of mistakes, we made it
difficult on our part. I guess we're in this position because our defense was
keeping us afloat," Pumaren noted.
On the midway
of 4th quarter, Dave Ildefonso did a layup to cut the lead by 3, 55-58 but Sarr
answered it making a five-point lead.
Again, the
Bulldogs fight back 17.8 remaining on the clock just down by three 58-61 but
Manganti gives another heartbreak for this season as he prevails and ends the
game with 2 free throws.
NU Bulldogs
will face FEU Tamaraws on Wednesday while Adamson Falcons will rest for a week
to seek another triumph on October 7 also against the Tamaraws.
