Hiraya, Tuloy share points after an entertaining stalemate

CARMONA -- Hiraya and Tuloy share the spoils in a 1-1 draw to cap off another week of PFF Women's league action Sunday afternoon in San Lazaro.

A tale of two haves saw both sides get a point to retain their spots in the table, where Philip Dinglasan's ladies retain their 5th spot in the table a point ahead of their worthy rivals from Alabang.

Isabella Badoya had the chance to give Tuloy the lead from the spot ten minutes into the match after Celine Ampil committed a foul inside the box.

However, Hiraya goalkeeper Gely Tiu palmed away the second consecutive penalty kick of the season she faced with ease,  pushing Badoya's effort over the bar.

But the number 10 of Tuloy will not be denied fourteen minutes later by converting on Mary Joy Dela Cruz's pass inside the box, in which Badoya hits a low shot that wiggled into the line, giving them a precious lead heading into the break.

Hiraya pressed for the equalizer in the second half, and they did just that a minute over the hour mark, as Camille Rodriguez picked out Richelle Placencia and the former RTU standout did not disappoint, blasting his shot into the empty net.

Tiu made an acrobatic punch to deny Jamielyn Nanez from outside the box two minutes before full time.

But the Tuloy defence made an emphatic reply deep into stoppage time, where they deny Rodriguez not just outside of the box, but also in the six-yard area.
