Imus pulls away in Q3 to blast Cebu City

PASIG--The Imus Bandera put up a masterful performance at home to clobber the Cebu City Sharks, 90-61, in the second game of the MPBL Datu Cup twinbill at the Imus City Sports Center in Imus on Tuesday night.

Imus broke out for good in the third quarter, making 30 points and limiting Cebu City to just 11 in the said period.

Jerwin Gaco made 13 points to led a balanced scoring attack for the Bandera, who now joined the long logjam for second place at 4-3. He also tallied eight boards and one steal.

James Castro added 12 markers, five boards, and seven dimes for Imus, which is now 4-0 since Mike Orquillas replaced Jerry Codinera as mentor.

William McAloney and Patrick Cabahug each made 15 points for Cebu City, which further sank at the bottom of the standings at 1-7.
