OutKast draw La Salle after Siaotong left it late

CARMONA -- OutKast came from behind and left it very late in the game, forcing a 1-1 draw against champions La Salle in the final match of the Saturday doubleheader late Saturday morning in San Lazaro.

Former FEU Lady Tamaraw Sharmine Siaotong was the hero of Keuts Smith's ladies in blue, breaking Tashka Lacson's shutout streak deep into added time, as both sides retain their spots in the table, but had to see UST pulling away earlier in the morning.

Sara Castañeda thought that they had all three point in the bag after drawing first blood in the 66th minute, slotting her right-footed shot past Jayneth Mercado inside the box.

But OutKast persevered, and deep into stoppage time, the Morayta connection worked its magic when Siaotong broke through a tight La Salle defence after being picked out by an Loreta Ladero through ball, making no mistake in firing past Lacson for the late equalizer.

Moreover, Siaotong caused the Lady Archers' winning run ended at 15 matches, dating from last season, resulting for the first dropped points for the reigning UAAP titlists.
