Tuloy shocks Ateneo in W-League action

By Kevin Estrada

CARMONA -- Tuloy Sa Don Bosco proved that their scare last week against La Salle was not a fluke, after shocking more fancied Ateneo right at the death for a 2-1 win today in San Lazaro.

The newcomers from Alabang came from last week's close loss to titleholders La Salle and hit an upset axe to the UAAP outfit with their enterprising play that took the Lady Eagles by surprise to earn all three points.

Tuloy surprisingly took the lead in the 26th minute as Jenny Perez found the net on an enterprising play.

However, the Lady Eagles kept their nerve and equalized in the 58th minute when Nicole Bugayong poked the ball into the empty net.

Both sides came close to earn the winner, but it was Isabella Bandoja who gave Tuloy a winning end in the final minute of the match, beating Marianne Caparros on a 1v1 after being picked out by Jonaly Lucban inside the box.
