MANILA -- As Typhoon Ompong continues destroying Northern Luzon and affecting Metro Manila, UAAP President Nilo Ocampo and the Board of Trustees decided to cancel all the events on Saturday, September 15 and Sunday, September 16.

All the womens and mens basketball games for this weekend are suspended. Also, the Chess tournament, hosted by UST, was supposed to open this weekend but was instead moved on Wednesday, September 19.

All events will resume this coming week and the canceled basketball games will reschedule on later dates.

Due to the ejection of UP Fighting Maroons Coach Bo Perasol last UP-Ateneo match-up, the one-game suspension of Coach Bo Perasol that should effect on Sunday between the UST-UP match will take effect on the September 23 game instead, as the Maroons (1-1) will face the Tamaraws (1-1).
