UST claws Tuloy apart as W-League returns from break

By Kevin Estrada

CARMONA -- The PFF Women's League returns from a week-long break as UST growled from the opening whistle to rout Tuloy Sa Don Bosco for eleven unanswered goals in the first match of the Saturday doubleheaders in San Lazaro.

Aging Rubio's Tigresses only needed the first half to remain undefeated, getting their fourth win in as many games to retain the top spot, with Shelah Cadag inched closer to tie Kyra Dimandal's record last season.

Cadag fired a double-hat trick to raise her scoring tally to 18, three shy of the La Salle forward's last year, with four of it came in the first 45 minutes of the match.

Charisa Lemoran and skipper Hazel Lustan backed up the forward with a pair of braces, with substitute Ronalyn Lagata joining the party with her 83rd minute strike.
