Comboy, Gonzales connive for Tamaraws' third victory against Bulldogs

PASAY CITY — The FEU Tamaraws bounced back after their 25-point loss against the UE Red Warriors last Sunday, beating the NU Bulldogs on Wednesday night.

Wendell Comboy’s defense and rookie L-Jay Gonzales’s skills combined for the Tamaraws' 73-68 win that put them up to 3-2 and force a tie in third place.

Coach Olsen Racela commended Comboy as the Tamaraws' main defender.

Rookies John Lloyd Clemente and Dave Ildefonso led the Bulldogs with 15 and 11 scores respectively.

Tamaraws will be seeking for a next win to break the inconsistency that Racela mentioned against the undefeated Adamson Soaring Falcons, while the Bulldogs will also seek a win against the UP Fighting Maroons.

Both games will be on October 7 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
