BIÑAN--With San Miguel already gearing up for the PBA Governors' Cup quarterfinals, Coach Leo Austria decided to reactivate Junemar Fajardo, who suffered a right shin stress fracture before the start of the conference.

On Saturday night at the Alonte Sports Arena, he finally got to play for the Beermen against the Rain Or Shine Elasto Painters.

Asked by reporters about how he felt upon returning, the 6-foot-10 big guy said that it was as if he is new to the team all over again.

"Nakakapanibago," said Fajardo. "Syempre, ngayon lang ako nakatakbo uli."

About his injured leg, he said, "OK naman. Tight lang."

Fajardo played for nearly 10 and a half minutes, finishing with two points, two rebounds, and one assist.

But behind impressive outings from Kevin Murphy, Alex Cabagnot, and Chris Standhardinger, SMB secured its spot in the quarterfinals and sent ROS out of playoff contention with a 109-97 win.

"Credit sa mga teammates ko," Fajardo said.

With a full week to prepare before taking on survival-seeking Meralco, Fajardo's minutes, despite still being monitored, could be extended a bit.

But regardless of whether it will happen or not, he said that he will be ready for it.

"Kahit konti lang ang minutes ko, ibibigay ko pa rin yung best ko," Fajardo vowed.
