Growling Tigers ensure their spot on the Final Four after beating the Red Warriors

SAN JUAN - UST Growling Tigers Final Four hope is still alive after beating the UE Red Warriors 79-68 today at the Filoil Flying-V Arena.

The Warriors were up on the first half but the Tigers growl and snatched the lead after Marvin Lee erupts with back to back triple. 

UST Growling Tigers enters the final period with a 10-point lead. Red Warriors can't take the Growling Tigers energy as the gap continues until the end of the game that leads to the Growling Tigers win.

With the absence of Growling Tigers point guard Renzo Subido due to an injury, Lee unleashed 8 triple on his 30 point marker while Cj Cansino made a history as after 15 years, he became the first rookie to established triple-double with 20 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists. 

Alvin Pasaol was still the only hope for Red Warriors tallying 26 points and 7 rebounds. 

Growling Tigers standing is at the solo fourth with 5-5 while the Red Warriors slides down on 1-10 of the standings.

UST Growling Tigers next assignment is against the DLSU Green Archers on November 3, 2 p.m., at Ynares Center Antipolo and the UE Red Warriors will try to get back on the winning column as they go against the FEU Tamaraws on November 4, 2 p.m., at the same venue.
