MANILA--Ryan Jakiri, the first Filipino kickboxer signed by One Championship, suffered a loss in his first venture in the One Super Series, bowing to Chinese opponent Han Zi Hao at One: Pursuit of Greatness at the Thuwanna Indoor Stadium in Yangon on Friday night.

Jakiri actually flashed some brilliance early on, tagging Han with crisp punches and low kicks.

However, Jakiri caught a huge right cross counter from Han that knocked him out at the 1:39 mark of the very first round.

In the headliner, Aung La NSang successfully defended the One middleweight championship in his hometown after edging Lebanon's Mohammad Karaki.

NSang struck an uppercut that brought Karaki down the canvass for good.
