BINAN--Kim Sung-Min was a man on a mission on Wednesday at the Binan Football Stadium in the Copa Paulino Alcantara match between Davao Aguilas and Stallion Laguna.

With the top seed in Group A on the line, the Korean player showed that Davao is more than just James and Phil Younghusband, drilling in a brace to back up Phil's own two-goal showing and lead the club to a 4-0 rout.

"[Wednesday] is a deserved win because we've been in lots of training one week ago. It's a very good training," Kim said after the match through an interpreter.

The main highlight of his performance was his 85th minute goal, wherein he blitzed through the gaps in Laguna's defense before beating Bitoy Rosalia on a one-on-one situation.

Kim, however, said that it will not be possible if not for his teammates providing ample space for him to move freely off the ball.

"The off-the-ball movement is a striker's role. The other 10 players [provided] support. Because of that, I got a goal," he continued.

His impressive performance earned him Man of the Match honors, which will further boost his morale when Davao takes on Marikina in the semifinals on Sunday at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila.
