STA. ROSA, Laguna--If the usual trend in a Philippine Basketball Association elimination round is to be considered, Blackwater has virtually secured a seat in the quarterfinals of the season-ending Governors' Cup with its sixth win of the conference.

But Coach Bong Ramos said he does not want to think about the next round for now.

"Ayokong isipin yung playoffs," Ramos said after the Elite pipped the Rain Or Shine Elasto Painters at the Sta. Rosa Multi-Purpose Sports Complex on Sunday night.

For now, the veteran mentor looks to keep a gradual approach to Blackwater's remaining four games before the club finally considers playoff basketball.

"One game at a time, we'll play defense. We will try our best to contain their man. Basta sa huli, maka-isa kami," Ramos continued.

The Elite can formally barge their way to the playoffs with a win on Wednesday night against the Magnolia Hotshots.
