QUEZON CITY -- The Ateneo Lady Eagles stumbled once again as they bowed to the Adamson Lady Falcons, 72-54, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday.
Ateneo’s offense was non-existent from the very start of the game as Adamson played a high-court press which caused a total of 26 turnovers for the Lady Eagles. The said turnovers helped the Lady Falcons push to a 25-9 lead in the first quarter.
Facing a 22-46 deficit, the Lady Eagles went on to have a promising run early in the third but that was stuffed towards the end.
Nathalia Prado had 25 points to lead all players, while Katrina Guytingco led the Lady Eagles in scoring with 16 points.
