PASAY CITY -  The UST Growling Tigers continue their winning streak as they enter the second round of UAAP Season 81’s mens’ basketball eliminations by defeating the FEU Tamaraws with a final score of 78-70.

The Battle of Espana finds a winner in the UST Growling Tigers as they cut off the FEU Tamaraws’ momentum after winning three games in a row and skyrocketing to a triple-tie for the first spot at the team standings as the league’s first round came to a close.

The Tigers also produced more points from their starters, amassing 44 points in comparison to the Tamaraws’ 36. Zach Huang also took on his career high with 20 points and 6 rebounds, making him the most efficient player for the game.
