MANILA--The Philippines started their road to Tokyo in the loudest way possible Sunday afternoon (evening Manila time) after tearing down Singapore by nine without reply in their first Olympic qualifier in Hisor, Tajikistan.

The Malditas were more prepared to take on the Central Asian cold unlike in their first stint last year as UST's Shelah Cadag bagged a first-half hat-trick on her debut for Let Dimzon.

Cadag, who was the leading scorer in the WLeague until two weeks ago, scored her first two goals for the country just five minutes into the match, in which veteran defender Dai Dolino added a third 22 minutes later to seal their first win in Group A.

GAU's Hali Long made it 4-0 in the 32nd minute before Cadag completed the trick eleven minutes later for a 5-0 halftime lead.

The La Sallian connection continued at the restart as Irish Navaja (52', 67') and Sara Castañeda (57') poured in more goals with Long completing her brace in the 59th minute.
